Hello and welcome to my site.
I'm a Scottish writer/musician and podcaster based in the north of England.
As a member of the Northern Short Story Academy, I regularly write and experiment with short pieces of fiction. I also tinker with a novel or two.
Occasionally, I transform these stories into podcasts, creating the music and sound effects to compliment my work. You can listen to one of these experiments here.

As a performer, I teach other writers how to read their work live on stage - I've worked with schools, writer's groups, festivals and libraries in this field.

As a musician I perform as a duo with The Stolen Bows, playing various instruments; piano, mouth organ, ukulele, banjo, fiddle and suitcase drum. We regularly perform in pubs and at festivals throughout the north.
